    Tester je namenjen testiranju klora in vrednosti pH bazenske vode. Da bi vaša bazenska voda ostala kristalno čista, je uporaba testerja nujna. Za zdravstveno neoporečnost bazenske vode in pravilno delovanje vseh pripravkov mora biti vrednost pH v razponu od 7,0 do 7,4. Če izmerjena vrednost ni v mejah normale, vodo ustrezno prilagodite s pomočjo bazenske kemije. Najprej nastavite vrednost pH (pH+ ali pH-), nato pa uravnavajte vrednost klora (samo jo  povečujte - če je vrednost klora previsoka, je ne znižujte, saj bo v nekaj dneh sama padla). Tester DPD deluje na principu vizualne primerjave z barvno lestvico ob vzorčnih komorah. Po dodajanju tablete Cl / pH v komoro se voda obarva, glede na rezultat pa je treba prilagoditi vrednosti Cl / pH v bazenu.
